Have you ever thought about writing a book?
Having an idea and thinking about writing and becoming an author is quite exciting.
Almost all of us have a story to tell. Whether it is a personal experience or a fantastic fantasy. Your story idea is original only to you! No one else in the world can think or see things in their mind the way you are seeing things in yours. You are unique and so are your ideas.
You have a great idea and you are wanting to put it in writing. However, an interesting thing happens when you think about yourself as an author.
Your mind automatically puts all of these barriers and roadblocks to keep you from making your idea come to fruition.
Thoughts like, “I don’t know how to write a book. I know nothing about publishing. How do I market a book? What if no one buys the book?”
There is no absence of negative chatter when you think about you as an author, is there?
So, how do you take your book from a “thought” in your mind to a physical reality with so much negativity blocking you?
There is a huge gap between “thinking” and “doing.”
Fortunately, that gap is all in your mind. Just like your idea, your blocks are all made up in your mind as well. The difference is that the idea is positive and makes you feel great, and the blocks are negative and make you feel bad.
Your mind that is capable of creating but it is also capable of destroying. It is a tug of war that will have you fighting with your own self and in turn, will keep you stuck and unable to write your book.
The good news is that all you have to do is gain control of your mind and you will be able to close that gap and stop the struggle with yourself.
Think about the ideas that are generated in your mind as small seeds. Seeds are encased in their own shell that hold all of the power and energy that it needs to expand and grow to its fullest creation. If your seed is properly planted and nurtured it will grow and expand into its highest and greatest form. From the smallest flower to the greatest oak tree, the seed has all it needs inside itself.
Your idea for your book is just like that seed. That seed is inside of you and it is nagging and pestering you to please plant it and allow it to grow. It wants to be allowed out so that it can grow. That is why you keep thinking about it. Instead of using all of your energy to push the idea down and keep it stored away, why not use that energy to create it and release it out into the world?
You are the only one that has the ability, drive and talent to release and nurture that seed. You have everything you need in that seed to write and publish your book.
You just need to make the decision that you are going to do it!
When you learn how to take control of your mind you can start planting your ideas one seed at a time.
